HSV Master Plan Completed

Huntsville International Airport completed the update of the airport’s new Master Plan in July 2020. Representatives from the Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority and the project team led by Michael Baker International spent months engaging community leaders, business owners and residents encouraging them to share their vision and aspirations for the future of Huntsville International Airport. Participants shared ideas, provided feedback on community values and learned more about the master planning vision throughout the process.

“Huntsville International Airport team members, regional leaders, local business owners, and residents in our community worked in tandem discussing and developing this long-range vision for the airport”, said Rick Tucker, Huntsville International Airport CEO. This was a collective effort from many individuals that both care about the airport and understand that Huntsville’s economic future is tied to our airport’s success.”

Innovations & Investments Moving Us Forward

-Lamar Advertising of North Alabama opened their new facility in the Jetplex Industrial Park. More details available HERE.

-Shamrock Investments broke ground on the new Runway Distribution Center on February 9, 2021. (See gallery photos below)

-Triad broke ground on a new 118,000 square foot facility in Jetplex Industrial Park.

-HSV welcomed seasonal non-stop flights to Miami via American Airlines.

-Breeze Airways launched nonstop flights to New Orleans, Tamp and Charleston from HSV.

-HSV was selected as one of five FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Detection and Mitigation Research Program Test Sites.

-HSV implemented the UAH Agreement for the UAS Center of Excellence.

-Huntsville International Airport is in the list of Top 10 Small Airports in the U.S. via USA Today. More details available HERE.

-HSV was charted at No. 19 in the continental U.S. for international air cargo.
